Empower Nursing Services was founded in 2022 from a place of personal experience, professional passion, and a deep commitment to community. My journey into nursing was inspired by my father’s battle with a chronic illness and his life-changing lung transplant - an experience that shaped not only my career path but also my perspective on compassionate care.

I began my nursing career in the Riverina, working across a variety of specialty areas before focusing my skills in the fast-paced environment of the Emergency Department. Driven by a love of learning and a desire to continually grow, I completed post-graduate studies to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Together with my husband, we returned to the Central West to raise our children surrounded by family and to contribute meaningfully to rural healthcare. The idea for Empower Nursing Services was born after our youngest son, Billy, was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome, a genetic condition characterised by both cognitive and physical disability. Our experience following his diagnosis, opened my eyes to the challenges faced by people living with disability in rural NSW, particularly in accessing quality disability-related health services.

At Empower Nursing Services, we're committed to bridging that gap. With clinical expertise and lived experience, we aim to empower individuals and families with the support, care, and respect they deserve - right where they live.
