Disability Support Worker Education
High-quality support begins with a well-trained, confident support team. We offer specialised education and training programs designed to equip disability support workers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Our training is grounded in current best practice and developed in response to the real-world challenges support workers face. Whether working in home, community, or supported accommodation settings, staff are supported to respond to the diverse and complex needs of people living with disability in a way that is respectful, informed, and aligned with individual goals.
Training modules include essential areas such as:
Medication support and administration
Clinical skills for non-clinical staff
Understanding intellectual and developmental disability
Maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practice
Diabetes education
Epilepsy support training
Support with continence-related care
Each session is delivered in an engaging, practical format that encourages reflection and real-life application. We tailor our training to suit varying levels of experience and the specific needs of organisations or teams.
The result is a more capable, confident support team that understands the importance of dignity, autonomy, and safety in every aspect of care. By investing in education, we help raise the standard of support provided and improve outcomes for the people at the heart of the work - individuals living with disability.
